Welcome to DyadIQ. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use it, with whom we may share it, and what choices you have regarding your information.

By using the site and service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to DyadIQ's Terms of Service.

What is DyadIQ?

DyadIQ is a digital service designed to help parents, children, and teenagers get to know each other better, through short questions, comparing answers, and insights about their relationship.

The service is in early development. How it operates, the types of information collected, and how it is used may change over time. We will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

What information may we collect?

Information as part of the dyadic experience

When using the service, we may collect:

  • Answers to questions;
  • A unique dyadic code (DyadID);
  • Matches or gaps between parent and child answers;
  • Insights generated from answers;
  • Progress status (e.g. whether the parent started, the child answered, results were shown);
  • Timestamps of actions taken on the site.

Information users provide voluntarily

Users may optionally provide:

  • First name or nickname;
  • Email address;
  • Phone number;
  • A parent's email address for sending links, results, or insights;
  • Age or age group;
  • Gender, if the user chooses to provide it;
  • Family relationship type (parent, child, teenager, mom, dad, etc.);
  • Any other information the user chooses to enter.

There is no obligation to provide information that is not required for basic use of the service. We recommend not providing sensitive personal information or information not needed for the experience.

Technical and usage information

When using the site, technical information may be collected, such as:

  • IP address;
  • Browser type and device;
  • Operating system;
  • Browser language;
  • Pages viewed;
  • Actions taken on the site;
  • Errors and technical issues;
  • Referral source, if available.

This information is used to operate the site, secure it, fix issues, improve the user experience, and analyze general usage.

How do we use the information?

We may use the information for the following purposes:

  • Operating the service and presenting the dyadic experience;
  • Comparing parent and child answers;
  • Generating results, matches, gaps, and insights;
  • Sending links, results, or insights if requested by the user;
  • Saving dyad progress;
  • Improving questions, insights, accuracy, and user experience;
  • Analyzing usage patterns, including in aggregate or anonymous form;
  • Developing new features;
  • Contacting users who reached out or left details;
  • Sending updates, offers, pilot invitations, marketing materials, or additional content, subject to consent and applicable law;
  • Preventing abuse, securing the service, and handling technical issues;
  • Complying with legal requirements and protecting our rights.

Marketing communications

If you provide us with an email address, phone number, or other contact details, we may use them to send you updates about DyadIQ, pilot invitations, content, offers, or information about additional services.

Marketing communications will be sent only where permitted by law or after appropriate consent has been obtained, where required.

Every marketing communication will include an unsubscribe option, where required by law.

Children and minors

DyadIQ is designed for use by parents with children and teenagers, as well as independent use by teenagers aged 13 and over.

Children under 13 are not intended to use the service independently. If a child under 13 participates in the experience, this must be done with the accompaniment, knowledge, and supervision of a parent or guardian, and through a link the parent created and sent.

We do not ask children under 13 to provide contact details such as an email address or phone number. Contact details of a child under 13 must not be entered into the service.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without your knowledge or consent, you may contact us at privacy@dyadiq.com, and we will review the request and delete information as needed, subject to applicable law.

We ask that sensitive information about children or teenagers not be entered into the service, including medical, psychological, legal, family-sensitive information, or information about violence, harm, substance use, self-danger, or any other information not required for use of the service.

Sensitive information

DyadIQ is not intended to collect medical, psychological, legal, criminal information, information about violence, self-harm, or other sensitive information.

Do not enter information into the site that is not required for the dyadic experience. If such information is entered voluntarily, we may delete it, disregard it, or handle it in accordance with applicable law and our discretion.

With whom may we share information?

We do not routinely sell personal user information to third parties.

However, we may share information in the following cases:

  • With technology service providers who help us operate the site, store information, send messages, analyze usage, run analytics tools, process payments, or secure the service;
  • With professional advisors such as legal, accounting, technological, or business consultants, as required;
  • If required by law, court order, or competent authority, or to protect our rights;
  • In the event of a merger, acquisition, investment, restructuring, sale of activity, or asset transfer, where information may pass as part of the activity, subject to this policy and applicable law;
  • When information has been anonymized or aggregated in a way that does not reasonably identify a specific user.

External service providers will receive access to information only to the extent required to provide services on behalf of DyadIQ.

Aggregate and anonymous information

We may use information that has been aggregated or anonymized for research, product improvement, insight development, presenting general data, conversations with partners or investors, business activity, publications, or future development.

Aggregate or anonymous information is information that does not reasonably identify a specific individual.

Cookies, analytics, and measurement tools

The site may use cookies or similar technologies for:

  • Proper site operation;
  • Saving preferences;
  • Security;
  • Usage measurement;
  • Improving user experience;
  • Analytics;
  • Marketing, advertising, or content personalization, if activated in the future.

We may retain dyadic information and answers for a certain period to allow results to be displayed, continued use, improved insights, and service development.

Users may contact us to request deletion of information, as described below.

We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no digital system is completely secure. Use of the site is made with the understanding that complete security of information transmitted or stored online cannot be guaranteed.

User rights

Subject to applicable law, users may be entitled to request:

  • Access to personal information stored about them;
  • Correction of inaccurate information;
  • Deletion of information;
  • Cessation of marketing communications;
  • Restriction of certain uses of information;
  • Additional information about how their information is used.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. An updated version will be published on the site, and the update date will appear at the top of the page.

If material changes are made to how we collect, use, or share personal information, we will endeavor to notify users in an appropriate manner, based on circumstances and applicable law.
